Podcasts: Listen while you work

A cup of tea and some podcasts are essential companions while I’m painting. It’s wonderful to have access to so many interesting and varied topics; I don’t know how artists managed before podcasts. Maybe they just listened to the radio, or painted in a studio with other people. Or even, just listened to the deafening din of your own thoughts banging about your head.

Apparently you’re the product of the 5 people you hang out with most, as they influence your thoughts and behaviours. I wonder if this applies to what you listen to as well.

When I do graphic design, I can’t listen to podcasts, only music. It must use a different part of my brain that processes language. But when I'm painting... bring on the interesting stuff!

So with that in mind, I thought I’d share ones that I recommend and listen to regularly.
